As long as I can remember I’ve been interested in technology mixed in with a sense of adventure. I knew from an early stage that I wanted to become a marine engineer, escape Holland and see the world and that’s what I did.
After a challenging and interesting career in sea faring and coal gasification technology it was time to settle and in 1994 my wife and I (together with 2 very young children) decided to move to New Zealand. In 1998 I joined Rudy and together we have operated AMT ever since. Coming from a ships engineering background, plant reliability had always been a core interest of mine and AMT’s activities fitted like a glove.
Besides fulltime reliability engineering I have multiple interests generally to do with any kind of outdoor activities, too many to mention as well as rear engined French classic cars.
